Claire has completed the Certificate in the Principles of Art Therapy and the Masters in Art Therapy at MTU, Cork.
Claire has lived experience of being neurodivergent, with an adult diagnosis of ADHD and Autism (AuDHD). This informs her practice greatly.
She has experience working with a variety of people. She has worked with children, teens, adults, and the elderly. She has worked with those that have experienced dementia, disability, chronic pain, neurodivergent diagnosis, depression, severe social anxiety, school refusal, acute mental health challenges, disordered eating, attachment issues, and more.
"The creative process is healing. The feelings of grief, anger, pain, fear, joy, and ecstasy are the tunnel through which we must pass to get to the other side: to self-awareness, understanding, and wholeness." Natalie Rogers
Why 'Cailleach Art Therapy'?
The Cailleach is a Celtic mythological feminine archetype who is said to usher in the winter months, shapes the landscape, and is transformative.
I will walk beside you through the winter months of your life until you are ready to bring in your own spring and transformation. Working together we can reshape your internal landscape and give you new perspective on the external one.
This is the archetypal metaphor I have chosen for my practice, as I regularly use Celtic mythology and archetypes in my own personal work.
